The American people can learn how to write their congressman effectively. Government seems to be monopolizing the news lately with all the new laws they are pushing through. American's should write to their congressmen to share their viewpoint and opinion. Whether a person is conservative or liberal or somewhere in between, every person should be aware of what politicians are voting for in congress. Cap and Trade passed the house and is working its way through the senate. HR 2454 wasn't even read by some of the representatives yet they voted yes on costing American's more in taxes and utility costs. There was a 300-page amendment added to this legislation in the middle of the night before the vote. The health care bill HR 3200 will cost a lot of families more than they are expecting. Some want it pushed through congress before they leave for their break. Some know that it's wrong to push such an expensive major change through without caution. How many will vote on it without reading it? There will be some that don't take the time to represent their constituents and properly read the bill.
